Beware of This Impostor

Once upon a time, there lived two little girls in a village. They happened to be best friends. One grew up to be kind and selfless, while the other became selfish and arrogant.

One fine day, both friends decided to undergo an intense Sadhana to please God. After years and years of Sadhana, God finally appeared. Very pleased by their dedication and devotion, God granted both of them a wish.

The kind and selfless girl said – “Dear God! It pains me a lot to see the suffering of human beings. Please grant me a blessing that, as soon as any human being sees me, they embrace me, and get healed of their suffering!

God said – “Your wish is granted, my child..! The world will know you as Prem!”

The selfish and arrogant girl said – “Dear God! I fear the absence of suffering, for I thrive on misery. I eat misery for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Please make my friend invisible, and grant me an appearance exactly like hers. Wherever I go, let human beings embrace me instead of her, so that they continue to live in suffering!

God said – “Your wish is granted, my child..! The world will know you as Raag, but mistake you for Prem. But do remember, my child, Prem’s wish must also be honoured. Thus, in every epoch of time, there will be some rare and extraordinary human beings who will see through your mask, and help others do the same. And, as soon as they do that, I will bless them with a special vision to see Prem!”

Legend has it that the two friends are still alive, roaming around the world – one to end suffering, the other to ensure it never ends.

Have you seen either of them?

  2. Small story with big message. Somewhere in our thoughts both sisters are present. We have to redirect our thoughts so that Raag does not take over.
Thank you our beloved Sri Guru ji for your guidance.
    My humble gratitude.

  4. I Love You, Prabhu!

  5. Jaikrupadu Sri Guruvar, thank you so much for explaining the difference between Prem and Raag. Shall increase my true, selfless love and replace Raag with true love, which is achievable in Thy grace.
