By श्री नवकार मंत्र का स्पष्ट अध्यात्म

सामान्यतः हम इस मन्त्र में अरिहन्तों, सिद्धों, आचार्यों, उपाध्यायों और साधुओं को, उनके गुणों और आत्मस्थिति का अनुमान लगाते हुए नमस्कार करते हैं। हम चाहे अरिहंतो की — सिद्धों की आत्मस्थिति तक की भी उपासना कर रहे हों, तो भी हमें देखना होगा कि कहीं यह केवल एक बहिर्मुखी उपासना तो नहीं? श्री नवकार महामंत्र का यह अलौकिक प्रभाव भी अवश्य है कि हम अपने से बाहर पंच-परमेष्ठी की उपासना करते-करते अपने अंदर के, अपने ही विशुद्ध आत्मस्वरूप का चिंतन, स्मरण, ध्यान एवं अनुभव दर्शन करने लगते हैं — सोऽहम्!
Ordinarily, in this Mantra, we bow in reverence before the Arihants, Siddhas, Aacharyas, Upadhayas and all the Sadhus in this Existence by trying to feel their qualities and stages of Soul’s Elevation! We may praise and rever even the utmost soulful pleasure of Arihant & Siddha Parmatmas but we have to check if this is just an outward praying? It is definitely a supernatural miraculous effect of Shri Navkar Mahamantra that we start with an outward praying to the five Godly-Entities, the more deep and deep we go into a feel of their experience and qualities, the more inner and inner we find ourselves going into the contemplation, remembrance, meditation and experience of our own pure Self — As You, So Am I!
पंच परमेष्ठी की बहिर्मुखी उपासना से अपनी अंतर्मुखी साधना में उतर पाने की योग्यता लाने के लिए श्री नवकार महामंत्र के शब्दों में ही पूरा मार्ग छुपा पड़ा है। ‘णमो’ शब्द की शुरुआत हमें नमस्कार करने को कहती है तो ‘आणं’ शब्द से अंत हमें शुद्ध जीवन की कुछ आज्ञा पालन का सन्देश भी देता है।
From the extroverted worship of Panch Parmeshthi towards the internal experience of our own Soul, the ability to enter the depths of our Existence is a path hidden in the very words of Shri Navkar Mahamantra ! The start with ‘Namo’ guides us to praise and revere those like whom we want to be, and the end of ‘Aanam’ indicates there are certain messages to follow and live a pure life.
गुरु कृपा से मिली समझ से अब हम नवकार मंत्र के इसी नमस्कार और आज्ञा स्वरुप को यहाँ व्यक्त करने का प्रयास करते है:
With the understanding gained from Guru’s Grace, now we try to express the path of Reverence and Pure Living as imbibed in Shree Navkar Mantra
णमो अरिहंताणं
Ṇamō Arihantāṇaṁ
राग द्वेष, क्रोध-मान-माया-लोभ आदि अभ्यन्तर शत्रुओं का विनाश करने वाले और परोपकार आदि बारह गुणों से संपन्न, इसी भव में मोक्ष स्थिति को प्राप्त होने वाले अरिहंत परमात्मा को हम नमस्कार करते हैं।
हम अपने दोषों को जानें और उनका नाश करने को तत्पर हो जाएं , ऐसा करने पर ही हम अरिहंतो को वास्तविक नमस्कार करते हैं ।
We bow in reverence before the Arihant who have won over their internal enemies of rage, anger, illusion etc. by rising above them and whose soul shall attain Moksha status in this Bhava itself.
Our true reverence and qualification to pray before Arihants shall only come when we start to know our faults and are in sincere efforts to destroy them.
णमो सिद्धाणं
Ṇamō Siddhāṇaṁ
अपनी आत्मा की अविनाशी मोक्ष स्थिति को प्राप्त करने वाले और जन्म मरण से पूर्णतः मुक्त हो चुके सिद्ध परमात्मा को हम नमस्कार करते हैं।
हमें अपना छोटे से छोटा दोष भी पाप लगने लगे, दोषों को पाप मानकर अब हम उनको हटाने लगें, ऐसा करने पर ही हम सिद्धों को वास्तविक नमस्कार करते हैं ।
We bow in reverence before the Siddhas whose soul has attained salvation and is free of the cycles of birth and death.
Our true reference and qualification to pray before Siddhas shall only come when we start to consider even our petty faults as serious sins and are in repentance and removal of them as we would do for a sin.
णमो आयरियाणं
Ṇamō Ayariyāṇaṁ
अरिहंत परमात्मा की अनुपस्थिति में उनके शासन का संचालन करने वाले, शुद्ध आचार अदि ३६ गुणों से संपन्न आचार्यों को हम नमस्कार करते हैं।
हम सत्संग में मिला ज्ञान और व्यव्हार के अपने आचरण को एक समान करने लगें, ऐसा करने पर ही हम आचार्यों को वास्तविक नमस्कार करते हैं ।
We bow in reverence before the Aacharyas who have 36 virtues of Pure Living etc and who, in the absence of the Arihants, continue to propound the principles Graced by Arihants.
Our true reference and qualification to pray before Aacharyas shall only come when the knowledge gained by us from Satsangs does not remain just a knowledge and comes out in our life as its practical living.
णमो उवज्झायाणं
Ṇamō Uvajjhāyāṇaṁ
आचार्यों और साधू-संतो के बीच के सेतु और विनय अदि २५ गुणों से संपन्न उपाध्यायों को हम नमस्कार करते हैं।
जीवन में अच्छा बुरा कैसा भी उदय प्रसंग आए, अब हम उनमें राग द्वेष से ऊपर उठकर वैराग्य भाव में, केवल जानने-देखने के भाव में आने लगें , ऐसा करने पर ही हम उपाध्यायों को वास्तविक नमस्कार करते हैं।
We bow in reverence before the Upadhyayas who have 25 virtues of modesty-humility etc and who act as a bridge in furthering the teachings of the Aacharyas the Sadhu-Sants.
Our true reverence and qualification to pray before Upadhyayas shall only come when no matter what good or bad incidences come in our life, we live in an elevated state by being just a neutral observer-knower of the incidence and also our feelings of attraction or rejection towards them.
णमो लोए सव्व साहूणं
Ṇamō Lōē Savva Sāhūṇaṁ
ब्रह्मचर्य, त्याग, वैराग्य अदि २७ गुणों से संपन्न, लोक में विराजमान सभी साधू-संतो को हम नमस्कार करते हैं।
हम अपने मन को सदा साधने में लगें, अपने हर विचार और कृत्य के प्रति जागृत रहने लगें, पापों संस्कारों के उदय में बेहोश होकर बह ना जाएँ, ऐसा करने पर ही हम सभी साधू-संतो को वास्तविक नमस्कार करते हैं।
We bow in reverence before all the sages and saints of this world, irrespective of the religion they follow, who are endowed with 27 virtues of celibacy, sacrifice, renunciation etc.
Our true reverence and qualification to pray before the Sadhus-Sants shall only come when we are always aware of our thoughts and actions and do not flow unconsciously in the rise of any sin sanskaras.
एसोपंचणमोक्कारो, सव्वपावप्पणासणो
Ēsōpan̄chaṇamōkkārō, savvapāvappaṇāsaṇō
आप पंच परमेष्ठियों को, आपकी आज्ञा पालन से हम नमस्कार करते हैं; हमारे सभी पापों का नाश हो ऐसी प्रार्थना और पुरुषार्थ करते हैं ।
We bow before your five Godly states of a Soul’s elevation by following your teachings. We pray before you to wipe off all our sins by the goodness and awareness in our living.
मंगला णं च सव्वेसिं, पढ़मम हवई मंगलं
Maṅgalā ṇaṁ cha savvēsiṁ, paḍamama havaī maṅgalaṁ
संसार के सभी मंगल कार्यों में, आपकी आज्ञा पालन से आपको नमस्कार करना और उससे अपनी स्व आत्मा को शुद्ध करना यह सबसे उच्च मंगल कार्य है।
To bow and pray before you by living as per your teachings and to purify our soul, this is the biggest of all the noble and virtuous deeds in this world.
